FABTECH is North America’s largest metal forming, fabricating, welding and finishing event. Three D Metals was pleased to return to the show this year!
FABTECH 2021 was held at the McCormick Convention center in Chicago from September 13-16th. Our Three D representatives this year were Marketing Coordinator Samantha Fields and three of our territory managers.
“FABTECH is a recurring event for us,” says Fields, “but our goals were a little different this year because of the challenges of the market. We focused on building and re-establishing relationships in the field. This event is focused a lot on the automotive space, so we also highlighted our high carbon and welding wire products.” 
While attendance was about a third of the usual 35,000 attendees, it was still a great opportunity to gather with others in the industry for the first time in nearly two years. The conference is focused exclusively on promoting and celebrating the metals industry around the world, and offers an exceptional trade show experience.
Fields has been with Three D Metals since January of 2021, and this was her first industry event. “I enjoyed talking to people,” says Fields, “and I definitely learned a lot. I’m still new to metals in general. I have a background in steel, but not a copper and aluminum background. So I liked that aspect of the show. It was a learning experience.” 
FABTECH 2022 will be held at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta from November 8-10th. We hope to see many more of you there next year!
