Amy Gesdorf Becomes First Female VP of Sales in Three D History

Amy Gesdorf

Three D Metals is thrilled to announce the promotion of Amy Gesdorf to vice president of sales. Amy has been an integral part of our team for more than 25 years. In her new role, she’ll lead the Three D sales team to continued success in our next chapter.

Amy’s move into this role is a historic one for the company – she’s the first female VP of sales in Three D’s history.

“I hadn’t thought of it until a team member told me,” she said. “When I realized it, I was truly honored. I love that I can be an inspiration in an industry that has historically been male-dominated.”

Amy graduated from Ohio University with a bachelor’s degree in international business and a minor in marketing. She then completed her MBA from Cleveland State University.

She started at Three D Metals immediately after college as a territory manager before moving to an inside sales role. After a few years, Amy became the general manager of a newly opened copper bar distribution center. She managed that location until the facility merged into a larger one. Up until her promotion to VP of sales, Amy was a territory manager handling various states and Canadian markets.

As Three D’s VP of sales, Amy will support the territory managers in finding new customers and solidifying relationships with existing customers. She shared that she hopes her extensive experience as a territory manager will help her be a good sounding board for questions or concerns from her team.

Through the years, one thing has inspired Amy to stay and grow her career with us: “The people I work with and for are some of the best in the industry!”

Another female inspiration in the company is Donna Dickens, one of the founders of the company. She and her husband, Dave, founded the company in 1972, and Donna served in a manager’s position.
